Description

  • Independently red-team designs, models, and analyses across programs to uncover failure modes, hidden assumptions, and weak trade studies before decisions are finalized.
  • Build the models, simulations, and analysis tooling needed to validate or break technical claims.
  • Reconstruct and independently verify the work of Systems Engineering, GNC, Software, Hardware, Mission Operations, and Test teams.
  • Translate red-team findings into clear, actionable guidance that improves system design and decision-making.
  • Work cross-functionally with engineers and stakeholders across multiple technical disciplines and mission areas.
  • Bring hands-on systems-building experience to analysis so issues are identified before flight or fielding.
  • Communicate complex technical results, including strong visual presentation of data, to engineers, leadership, and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Active U.S. Top Secret security clearance that can be maintained.
  • Hands-on experience both designing/building and analyzing real engineering systems; analysis-only backgrounds are not sufficient.
  • Demonstrated ability to find issues others miss through failure analysis, adversarial review, independent verification, or similar work.
  • Proven ability to independently own and execute deliverables with little to no management.
  • Proficiency with physics-math scripting such as MATLAB, Simulink, or Python with numpy/scipy.
  • Strong engineering background in Aerospace, Dynamics & Controls, GNC, Systems, or a similar field.
  • Outstanding communication skills, including visual presentation of complex data.
  • 10+ years of experience in a relevant science or engineering field (preferred).
  • Hands-on design and analysis experience across multiple domains such as space systems, missiles/missile defense, air vehicles, GNC, sensors and sensor fusion, radar, or EW (preferred).
  • Formal red-team, T&E, IV&V, mission assurance, or failure-analysis experience (preferred).
  • Familiarity with domain analysis tools such as STK/Astrogator or AFSIM (preferred).
  • Experience with genetic algorithms, machine learning, AI, or reinforcement learning (preferred).
