Description

  • Serve as the primary simulation point of contact for TRS programs and own simulation delivery end to end.
  • Translate program simulation requirements into actionable technical plans and close gaps between current capabilities and program needs.
  • Configure, extend, and validate simulation environments across autonomy, sensors, networking, and deployment infrastructure.
  • Support field events, customer demos, and program milestone deliverables with hands-on troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with program managers and systems engineers to align simulation fidelity with program priorities.
  • Develop reusable patterns and documentation that feed program-specific solutions back into the platform.
  • Manage active program simulation engagements, drive cross-program prioritization, and mentor other engineers on integration best practices at the senior level.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of professional software engineering experience in an industry setting with delivery to internal or external customers.
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages, including C++, Python, and Bash.
  • Strong Linux/Unix fundamentals and comfort debugging across layers of the stack.
  • Working understanding of networking concepts, including protocols, routing, and network debugging.
  • Comfort with the full professional software development lifecycle.
  • Experience working directly with customers, program teams, or stakeholders to translate requirements into delivered capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams, prioritize effectively, and deliver under deadlines.
  • Ability to quickly understand complex systems and established code bases.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience for senior candidates.
  • Experience managing a portfolio of deliverables across multiple programs or customers simultaneously for senior candidates.
  • Track record of mentoring engineers and building repeatable processes that scale for senior candidates.
  • Experience with simulation frameworks, real-time systems, or robotics platforms (preferred).
  • Experience with modern build and deployment tooling such as Nix, Docker, or CI/CD systems (preferred).
  • Experience with NixOS or declarative system configuration (preferred).
  • Familiarity with field deployment, customer demos, or operational support for software systems (preferred).
  • Experience creating or maintaining software-in-the-loop (SITL) test environments (preferred).
  • Ability to context-switch effectively across diverse technical domains (preferred).
  • Bias toward rapid delivery and iteration (preferred).
