Description

  • Manage electrical BOMs, component risk assessments, and alternate component sourcing paths across product lines.
  • Identify and mitigate supply-chain lead-time and sourcing risks, especially for PCBA components.
  • Ensure the electronics sourcing strategy scales as multiple product lines move into full production.
  • Conduct supplier selection and expand the approved supplier list across product lines.
  • Work with suppliers to resolve basic technical inquiries and consult with design engineering as needed.
  • Collaborate with the quality team to ensure AS9100 compliance for production electronics builds.
  • Work with the manufacturing team to ensure proper release and transmission of technical data packages within PLM and ERP systems.
  • Coordinate with Anduril HQ's PCBA commodity team to streamline PCBA procurement processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or another technical field.
  • 8+ years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement and development, or electronics design.
  • Domain expertise in value/procurement engineering at the component and product level.
  • Ability to travel 10-25% of the time for vendor on-site visits.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. secret clearance.
  • Master's degree or an advanced technical degree preferred.
  • Experience sourcing printed circuit boards and subcomponents, with familiarity in PCBA fabrication and assembly processes preferred.
  • Familiarity with PCBA industry quality standards such as IPC and J-STD preferred.
  • Experience developing high-tech products in a rapid low-rate environment preferred.
  • Exposure to or interest in working in a fast-paced start-up environment preferred.
