Description

  • Develop applications for Windows and Linux desktop environments.
  • Integrate cloud data and deployment features while maintaining user authentication and security.
  • Generate Python automation scripts for debug and prototype development.
  • Triage issues, identify root causes, and coordinate next steps for failures.
  • Partner with end users to translate needs into features while balancing user experience and engineering constraints.
  • Create test executive software to systematically and thoroughly test products.
  • Build analytics to improve the development cycle and test throughput.
  • Improve automation, user interfaces, and data analytics for complex, multiplatform systems.
  • Reduce operator time and instruction complexity through parallel execution, data acquisition, and automated deployment tools.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Expertise in Python software development.
  • Experience integrating or developing low-level code and device libraries or drivers.
  • Experience working in CI/CD and delivering DevOps automation for application deployment and testing.
  • Experience working on multidisciplinary projects with Electrical, Mechanical, and Manufacturing Engineers.
  • Experience with automated unit, integration, and system-level testing.
  • Expertise in version control using git.
  • Ability to travel to Costa Mesa Headquarters 25-50% if located at another site.
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities.
  • 8+ years of relevant industry experience preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial software preferred.
  • Understanding of device communication protocols such as USB, SPI, I2C, CAN, RS232, RS485, and Ethernet preferred.
  • Desktop application development experience with WPF and C# preferred.
  • Experience in embedded systems preferred.
  • Proficiency with RESTful services in AWS/Azure infrastructure preferred.
  • Hands-on knowledge of a major relational database such as DB2 or SQL Server and/or NoSQL preferred.
  • Pursuing or holding a Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred.
  • Experience with test automation or cloud deployment tools preferred.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance preferred.
