Description

  • Design and implement trusted, safety-critical Vehicle Management Systems in a multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Design and implement scalable vehicle subsystems including sensor processing, state estimation, contingency management, actuation, payload interfaces, and mission system interfaces.
  • Contribute to the design and development of reusable software components across Anduril product lines.
  • Develop real-time embedded software using an RTOS.
  • Develop device drivers and interfaces for sensors and actuators.
  • Create test and simulation fixtures for software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
  • Support vehicle manufacturing and deployment.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team and mentor software engineers from different backgrounds.
  • Own major software subsystems or system-level outcomes across the product lifecycle.
  • Travel up to 20% of the time to co-locate with end users and other teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong proficiency in C.
  • Experience with an RTOS.
  • Familiarity with communications busses and protocols such as CAN, CANFD, UART/RS232/RS422/RS485, SPI, QSPI, I2C, Ethernet, ARINC-825, ARINC-429, and MIL-STD-1553.
  • Systems programming skills including algorithms, data structures, concurrency, and optimization.
  • Ability to act as the technical owner for a software component, including stakeholder engagement, requirements definition, roadmap management, team coordination, design, implementation, sustainment, and evolution.
  • Ability to learn, grow individually, and mentor junior team members effectively.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
  • Experience designing and developing embedded applications in autonomous vehicle software systems, preferred.
  • Experience with high-assurance safety-critical software applications, preferred.
  • Experience developing interfaces to sensors and actuators, preferred.
  • Experience troubleshooting and analyzing remotely deployed software systems, preferred.
  • Experience working with and testing electrical and mechanical systems, preferred.
  • Experience with DO-178, IEC 61508, or similar certifications, preferred.
  • Familiarity with navigation and communications systems, preferred.
  • Experience across the product delivery lifecycle including manufacturing, system acceptance, deployment, and sustainment, preferred.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering concepts, preferred.
  • Interest in growing into Staff Software Engineer, Software Engineering Manager, or Tech Lead Manager roles, preferred.
