Description

  • Lead and mentor a team of 5+ software engineers, including hiring, performance management, and career development.
  • Partner with Product Management, Design leadership, and other stakeholders to define product vision and technical direction.
  • Own the technical roadmap, validate capabilities, and map timelines to deliver ambitious product goals.
  • Architect and implement robust solutions for complex problems at the intersection of real-time graphics, data simulation, and user interaction.
  • Contribute directly to the C++ codebase and provide hands-on technical leadership through code reviews and architectural guidance.
  • Diagnose and resolve defects to improve client stability across products and platforms.
  • Analyze and optimize memory usage and performance across systems ranging from high-end desktops to mobile AR platforms.
  • Identify technical risks proactively and collaborate with broader engineering teams to mitigate them.
  • Build the foundational graphics infrastructure, rendering systems, and engine technology that support visualization and simulation capabilities.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing and leading a team of 5+ engineers, with responsibility for hiring and performance management.
  • 10+ years of professional programming experience with deep expertise in C++ and modern software engineering principles.
  • Shipped at least one AAA game title or equivalent real-time simulation product in a senior or lead engineering capacity.
  • Experience owning the technical side of a product roadmap and translating product and design vision into an executable plan.
  • Track record of architecting and delivering solutions to complex, open-ended technical challenges in large codebases.
  • Solid understanding of 3D math and real-time rendering concepts.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical ideas to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
  • Linux or console platform development experience preferred.
  • Experience with low-level systems, performance optimization, and memory management preferred.
  • Experience building tools or visualization clients for complex simulation systems preferred.
