Description

  • Lead and mentor a team of 5+ software engineers, including hiring, performance management, and career development.
  • Partner with Product Management, Design leadership, and other stakeholders to define product vision and the technical roadmap.
  • Own technical planning by validating capabilities and mapping timelines to deliver ambitious product concepts.
  • Architect and design robust, scalable solutions for ambiguous problems at the intersection of real-time graphics, data simulation, and user interaction.
  • Contribute directly to the C++ codebase as a hands-on technical leader.
  • Conduct rigorous code reviews and provide architectural guidance on complex technical problems.
  • Diagnose and resolve defects to improve client stability and system reliability.
  • Analyze and optimize memory and performance across systems spanning high-end desktops to mobile AR platforms.
  • Identify technical risks proactively and collaborate with other engineering groups to mitigate them.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional programming experience with deep expertise in C++ and modern software engineering principles.
  • Proven experience managing and leading a team of 5+ engineers, including responsibility for hiring and performance management.
  • Experience shipping at least one AAA game title or equivalent real-time simulation product in a senior or lead engineering role.
  • Experience owning the technical side of a product roadmap and working closely with Product and Design.
  • Track record of architecting and delivering solutions to complex, open-ended technical challenges in large codebases.
  • Solid understanding of 3D math and real-time rendering concepts.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical ideas to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
  • Preferred: Linux or console platform development experience.
  • Preferred: Experience with low-level systems, performance optimization, and memory management.
  • Preferred: Experience building tools or visualization clients for complex simulation systems.
