Description

  • Collaborate with design engineers to identify critical design, reliability, and manufacturing vulnerabilities.
  • Support products from concept through flight delivery and into production ramp-up.
  • Work with supply chain teams to address end-of-life, sole-source, and other supply chain risks.
  • Simplify designs and improve commonality across product lines where applicable.
  • Troubleshoot issues across electrical and software boundaries using lab and debugging tools.
  • Partner with electrical, mechanical, software, firmware, and test engineers to deliver functional products.
  • Support new developments, active deployments, and customer-operated hardware in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Lab-based prototyping or research and development experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Materials Sciences, or an equivalent field.
  • 5+ years of experience in component engineering, manufacturing, or materials and processes.
  • Experience working on products used in extreme environments such as aerospace or defense.
  • U.S. Person status required due to access to export-controlled data.
  • Cross-functional collaboration experience across subsystems and supply chain (preferred).
  • Thermal, reliability, survivability, and EMI analysis and test experience (preferred).
  • Systems engineering and architectural trade experience with payloads or products (preferred).
  • Proficiency with embedded software and firmware; C/Linux is a plus (preferred).
  • Experience developing for a safety-critical environment with a human in the loop (preferred).
