Description

  • Manage the site Materials Review Board (MRB) process.
  • Inspect non-conforming parts and verify material issues.
  • Assist with root cause analysis and disposition of non-conforming material.
  • Manage internal rework and ensure tasks are completed on time.
  • Maintain accurate and complete data collection and entry for MRB activities.
  • Communicate process performance and quality issues to key stakeholders to drive improvements.
  • Execute vendor return material authorizations (RMA) in coordination with warehouse and buyers.
  • Perform first article inspections on incoming material and coordinate supplier FAI data acceptance.
  • Manage quality containment for material, tooling, and inspection equipment affecting production.
  • Create inspection plans for incoming, in-process, and end-of-line inspection steps.
  • Train technicians and inspectors on inspection plans and data capture.
  • Propose, develop, and implement quality assurance policies and procedures.
  • Support calibration activities, including recalls, database management, and third-party service logistics.
  • Perform internal audits on processes and procedures.
  • Analyze data and traceability to identify trends, inconsistencies, and process variation.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in metrology inspection or a quality role.
  • Proficiency with CAD software and inspection data management software.
  • Experience with calibrated equipment such as calipers, micrometers, CMM, Faro arm, and OMM.
  • Knowledge of dimensioning and tolerancing, including GD&T.
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, wire diagrams, work instructions, and CAD.
  • Experience analyzing inspection results and providing feedback to production, manufacturing engineering, and quality engineering teams.
  • Experience with investigative equipment such as x-ray inspection, digital characterization, and material certificates of compliance.
  • Experience working in a facility with AS9100, ISO9001, IATF 16949, or a similar QMS standard.
  • Experience with validation and testing of assemblies and components.
  • Experience communicating with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
  • U.S. Person status is required due to access to controlled data.
  • Technical or associate degree in quality, mechanical, or aerospace engineering is preferred.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, Quality Improvement Associate, or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • IPC-A-610 or IPC-A-620 certification is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma, TQM, TPS, Lean, or low-rate production is preferred.
  • Experience inspecting electrical and electronic components such as power supplies, PCBs, and wire harnesses is preferred.
  • Experience with manufacturing systems such as Jira, MES, ERP, Teamcenter, and CAD is preferred.
  • Experience auditing processes and procedures in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
