Description

  • Drive improvements in product design, manufacturing, suppliers, service, and field support to improve reliability across the product lifecycle.
  • Maintain Quality Management System compliance and support sustainability to AS9100 certification.
  • Develop and improve quality key performance indicators for product quality.
  • Use a data-driven approach to evaluate, prioritize, and track product quality and reliability across suppliers, manufacturing, and the field.
  • Support and improve internal tracking tools for supplier incoming, manufacturing in-process, and field quality issues.
  • Lead investigations, initiatives, and projects to determine root cause and implement corrective and preventive actions internally and with suppliers.
  • Support the development and sustainability of raw material supplier inspection and incoming inspection programs.
  • Support the execution of MRB activities.
  • Contribute to supplier evaluation, selection, qualification, and performance management.
  • Carry out containment, audit, and disposition actions for quality escapes or defective material.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a similar technical field.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience working with OEM suppliers and manufacturing operations building complex hardware/software systems.
  • 8+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, or quality in aerospace/defense, automotive, or medical device fields.
  • Experience working in an ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 regulated environment.
  • Working knowledge of Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Change Management, and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
  • Hands-on experience using mechanical and electrical metrology tools and instruments.
  • Working knowledge of electro-mechanical design and relevant manufacturing processes.
  • Strong ownership mindset with demonstrated capability as a project manager driving projects from start to finish.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance.
  • Master’s degree in a technical field is preferred.
  • Experience as a lead auditor for AS9100 or other ISO 9001-based QMS standards, such as ISO 13485 or IATF 16949, is preferred.
  • Experience with infrared imaging technology is preferred.
  • Experience with high-mix, low-volume manufacturing and suppliers is preferred.
