Description

  • Assemble and handle complex optical and optomechanical components into housings according to blueprints, engineering drawings, and SOPs.
  • Align optical systems using specialized equipment such as lasers, collimators, interferometers, autocollimators, and microscopes.
  • Complete production logs, device history records, quality checklists, and test data entry accurately.
  • Troubleshoot assembly failures and optical misalignments and work with manufacturing engineers on corrective actions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in optical assembly, micro-assembly, or precision electronics manufacturing.
  • Experience handling precision optical components.
  • Familiarity with automated fluid dispensing systems.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to carry 50 pounds for short periods of time.
  • Ability to multitask and move into new assignments on short notice.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a United States Security Clearance.
  • Experience with AS9100 or equivalent quality management systems (preferred).
  • Experience with 5S practices (preferred).
  • Strong organizational skills, detail orientation, effective time management, and ability to work with minimal supervision (preferred).
  • Experience using microscopes (preferred).
  • Experience with ESD processes (preferred).
  • Experience with imaging, optics, and alignment (preferred).
