Description

Assist with test, system checkouts, flight operations, and provide feedback to Test Engineering on Altius aircraft.
Build, program, and maintain autonomous aircraft for flight.
Work with Test Engineers on operational tasks that support engineering work, including flight execution, material preparation, and demonstrations.
Assist with product installations at test sites as needed.
Support the Site Manager and onsite team with maintenance tasks, including office supplies, cleaning, inventory management, and equipment maintenance.
Travel between test sites based on testing requirements and team needs.
Assist program leads with planning, coordination, and execution of flight test operations.

Requirements

Experience as an RC, RPIC, or pilot-operator on fixed-wing commercial and/or defense Group 2 aircraft.
Ability to obtain and maintain an FAA Part 107 certificate and complete FAA Part 61 ground school as required.
Ability to travel as needed, including approximately 60% of the time.
Familiarity with flight controllers and autopilot logic.
Strong knowledge of National Airspace regulations and operating restrictions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to own a variety of tasks in an autonomous environment.
Ability to work extended hours as required.
Strong customer service and organizational collaboration mindset.
Small UAS maintenance experience.
Willingness to travel approximately 60% of the time.
Experience with LiPO/LiON battery handling is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, electrical, software, or mechanical engineering is preferred.
Experience with developmental and operational test is preferred.

Benefits

US salary range of $86,000 to $114,000.
