Description

  • Design and implement trusted, safety-critical Vehicle Management Systems in a team environment.
  • Design and implement scalable vehicle sub-systems, including sensor processing, state estimation, contingency management, actuation, payload interfaces, and mission systems interfaces.
  • Contribute to reusable software components across multiple Anduril product lines.
  • Develop real-time embedded software using an RTOS.
  • Develop device drivers and interfaces for sensors and actuators.
  • Create test and simulation fixtures for software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
  • Support vehicle manufacturing and deployment.
  • Work as a member of a multi-disciplinary engineering team.
  • Travel up to 20% of the time to co-locate with end users and other teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in writing C.
  • Experience with an RTOS.
  • Familiarity with communications busses and protocols such as CAN, CANFD, UART/RS232/RS422/RS485, SPI, QSPI, I2C, Ethernet, ARINC-825, ARINC-429, or MIL-STD-1553.
  • Systems programming skills, including algorithms, data structures, concurrency, and optimization.
  • Ability to work holistically across software-enabled capabilities through design, implementation, operation, and sustainment.
  • Ability to learn and grow rapidly toward the standard of a Senior Software Engineer.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
  • Experience designing and developing embedded applications in autonomous vehicle software systems, preferred.
  • Experience developing high-assurance safety-critical software applications, preferred.
  • Experience developing interfaces to sensors and actuators, preferred.
  • Experience troubleshooting and analyzing remotely deployed software systems, preferred.
  • Experience working with and testing electrical and mechanical systems, preferred.
  • Experience with DO-178, IEC 61508, or similar certifications, preferred.
  • Familiarity with navigation and communications systems, preferred.
  • Experience across manufacturing, system acceptance, deployment, and sustainment, preferred.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering concepts, preferred.
