Description

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with business goals to support supply continuity, quality, efficiency, and cost optimization.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Negotiate complex commercial terms with suppliers, including pricing, quality, flexibility, delivery, payment, warranty, and service terms.
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams, including engineering, program management, finance, and business leadership, to resolve issues and manage tradeoffs.
  • Work with other supply chain experts to develop and execute supply chain best practices.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve supply chain performance.
  • Define, monitor, and report on key performance indicators to track supply chain health.
  • Lead and manage a team of sourcing engineers and subcontract managers, including hiring and developing talent.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks and disruptions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 10+ years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment in a supply chain or production-related role focused on complex mechanical and/or electrical assembly.
  • At least 5+ years of leadership experience.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
  • MBA or Master’s degree in supply chain, engineering, or a related technical field (preferred).
  • Experience in defense, aerospace, automotive, high tech, or another related industry (preferred).
  • Proven leadership in driving and influencing large teams toward common goals (preferred).
  • Ability to support team progress in both team leadership and individual contributor tasks (preferred).
