Description

  • Manage the full lifecycle of international payroll processing, from data input and reconciliation to reporting and year-end activities.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll execution across jurisdictions, with a focus on Portugal and Singapore.
  • Maintain compliance with global statutory requirements, tax rules, social security contributions, and related payroll obligations.
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, EOR nuances, and other complex compliance issues.
  • Operate and optimize HRIS/payroll systems such as Dayforce or Workday to support efficient payroll processing.
  • Collaborate closely with internal partners in HR, Finance, and Legal on payroll operations and process changes.
  • Coordinate with external Employer of Record partners and third-party payroll providers.
  • Communicate payroll concepts, risks, and solutions clearly to stakeholders and employees.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen operational accuracy and scalability.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in international payroll processing.
  • Deep expertise in Portugal payroll regulations.
  • Experience managing payroll for international entities, particularly Singapore, with knowledge of local statutory requirements.
  • Experience working with Employer of Record (EOR) models and third-party payroll providers.
  • Proficiency with enterprise HRIS and payroll systems such as Dayforce or Workday.
  • Strong understanding of multi-jurisdictional payroll tax laws, social security contributions, and benefits administration.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment within the financial services sector.
  • Payroll certification such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or equivalent international certification (preferred).
  • Experience with global equity compensation administration and reporting (preferred).
  • Background in a high-growth fintech or startup environment (preferred).
