Description

  • Manage GCP infrastructure, including GKE clusters, multi-region environments, load balancing, autoscaling, networking, DNS, firewalls, and IAM.
  • Build and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines and shared templates used by service teams.
  • Define standards for service deployment, security, monitoring, rollback, and operational reliability.
  • Operate and harden Kubernetes clusters through upgrades, RBAC and namespace design, resource quotas, rolling updates, health probes, and supply-chain security.
  • Manage platform security controls, including gateway policies, secret rotation, dependency scanning, workload identity, and least-privilege IAM.
  • Own GCP observability and incident response, including logging, metrics, dashboards, alerts, post-mortems, and on-call runbooks.
  • Develop internal developer tools, CLIs, self-service workflows, and golden-path automation.
  • Create platform tooling, runbooks, and structured logs that support both engineers and AI-assisted workflows.

Requirements

  • Experience owning and operating production workloads on GCP.
  • Production Kubernetes/GKE experience, including deployments, Helm, RBAC, resource quotas, rolling updates, multi-region environments, and rollbacks.
  • Daily hands-on experience with Terraform for IAM, networking, Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL, and secrets management.
  • Experience building GitLab CI pipelines at scale, including integrated security and dependency scanning.
  • Strong cloud networking knowledge, including VPC design, load balancing, DNS, firewall rules, and network security groups.
  • Experience with GCP observability and reliability practices, including structured logging, metrics, SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, on-call rotations, and post-mortems.
  • Operational experience with PostgreSQL and asynchronous messaging using GCP Pub/Sub.
  • Scripting proficiency in Bash and Python or Go.
  • Excellent written and spoken English and comfort working across time zones.
  • GCP certification, gRPC/Envoy experience, FinOps practice, or experience in IP, legal-tech, or regulated B2B SaaS is preferred.
