Description

  • Lead and scale high-performing engineering teams in competitive, delivery-driven environments.
  • Drive complex, multi-stream initiatives from strategy through execution with clear ownership and outcomes.
  • Actively manage performance, expectations, and delivery standards across teams.
  • Strengthen infrastructure scalability, reliability, performance, and cost efficiency.
  • Lead step-wise modernisation of the platform, UI, APIs, and developer experience.
  • Establish strong delivery discipline, operational standards, and accountability.
  • Embed enterprise-grade security, privacy-by-design, and DevSecOps practices.
  • Drive adoption of modern engineering practices, including AI-assisted coding, where they improve speed and quality.

Requirements

  • Senior experience in software engineering and infrastructure leadership.
  • Proven track record leading high-performance engineering teams in fast-paced, highly competitive technology environments.
  • Experience leading globally distributed, culturally diverse engineering teams.
  • Ability to set clear standards and manage performance directly and fairly.
  • Strong focus on speed to impact, delivery discipline, and operational maturity.
  • Comfort operating under pressure in high-expectation environments.
  • Must be based in Ireland for this 100% remote role.
  • Experience adopting modern delivery practices and tooling, including AI-assisted development, is preferred.
