Description

  • Lead or contribute to the design and execution of rigorous research and evaluation projects.
  • Apply quantitative methods to collect, manage, analyze, and interpret data.
  • Translate complex findings into clear insights and recommendations for reports, technical memos, and presentations.
  • Support proposal development by writing technical sections, developing budgets, and contributing to proposal strategy.
  • Manage small to mid-sized tasks or project components, including timelines, deliverables, and client communication.
  • Liaise with clients while maintaining positive and collaborative relationships.
  • Mentor and guide junior staff through feedback, training, and modeling of research best practices.
  • Engage stakeholders and partners through meetings, briefings, and dissemination activities.
  • Contribute to a collaborative environment that values diverse perspectives and experiences.

Requirements

  • PhD in a relevant field such as Economics, Statistics, Public Policy, Public Health, Human Development, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, or a related discipline, or a Master’s degree with at least 4 years of quantitative research experience.
  • Experience conducting applied quantitative health research or analytics, particularly using Medicare beneficiary, provider, and claims data.
  • Experience working with large administrative or health-related datasets such as claims, enrollment, provider, or survey data.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams such as programmers, analysts, and policy staff.
  • Experience contributing to or coordinating analytic workflows.
  • Experience interpreting analytic results and contributing to reports, briefs, or presentations that inform program, policy, or operational decisions.
  • Experience working on research or evaluation projects for federal, state, or local agencies or other public or nonprofit entities.
  • Familiarity with CMS, Medicare, Medicaid, or other federal health programs is preferred but not required.
  • Strong quantitative and data analysis skills with statistical tools such as SAS, SQL, Stata, R, or similar software.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis; employment-based visa sponsorship, including H-1B sponsorship, is not available.
  • Qualified candidates may need to meet certain residency requirements depending on project work.

  • Annual salary range of $96,100 to $128,100 USD.
