Description

  • Talk with customers by phone or video to understand their home, layout, project goals, and comfort needs.
  • Use proprietary design software and internal tools to build heating and cooling system recommendations.
  • Ask thoughtful questions to identify what matters most to each customer.
  • Help customers compare different system approaches and options.
  • Explain trade-offs among comfort, cost, efficiency, aesthetics, installation complexity, and long-term value.
  • Recommend the system option that best matches the customer’s priorities.
  • Prepare clear design summaries so orders can be finalized accurately.
  • Guide customers through uncertainty and help them feel informed and confident in their decision.
  • Work collaboratively to improve the customer buying experience and support better guidance tools.

Requirements

  • Experience in HVAC is helpful but not required.
  • Ability to learn new products, tools, and technical processes quickly.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical ideas in simple, everyday language.
  • Comfortable asking good questions and guiding customer conversations.
  • Ability to think through options and trade-offs without overcomplicating them.
  • Judgment to recommend a direction, not just list possibilities.
  • Ability to listen carefully, organize information, and build trust with customers.
  • Comfort using technology, software, and AI tools to learn faster and work better.
  • Self-directed mindset with a willingness to take ownership instead of waiting for step-by-step instructions.
  • Experience teaching yourself new skills, building projects, or learning technical subjects independently is especially valued.

  • Base salary of $75,000-$95,000 depending on experience and fit.
  • Performance bonus based on customer outcomes, design quality, and team success.
