Description

  • Develop and maintain the Financial Services coverage roadmap for CCR, translating sector priorities into a pipeline of channel check projects.
  • Lead the design of channel check frameworks, including expert sourcebase strategy and structured questionnaires.
  • Serve as the primary domain expert for Financial Services and guide project design based on market and regulatory dynamics.
  • Collaborate with Operations Managers and analysts to ensure projects are feasible, well-structured, and executed to a high standard.
  • Oversee project setup, expert targeting, and research quality to ensure outputs meet CCR standards.
  • Continuously identify new companies, sub-sectors, and channel check opportunities within the Financial Services ecosystem.
  • Map value chains and build expert networks that support ongoing research coverage.
  • Refine research frameworks and improve workflows with cross-functional partners.
  • Guide a team of analysts conducting structured channel checks across financial services companies and value chains.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of experience in equity research, market intelligence, consulting, or a related analytical role.
  • Experience with Financial Services, including banking, insurance, fintech, or adjacent sectors.
  • Strong domain knowledge of Financial Services business models, distribution channels, and key investment debates.
  • Experience designing primary research frameworks and questionnaires, ideally in a channel check or expert interview context.
  • Highly analytical and intellectually curious, with the ability to quickly develop expertise in new companies and subsectors.
  • Comfort working cross-functionally with research leadership, operations teams, and analysts.
  • Experience translating industry knowledge into structured, repeatable insights.
  • Familiarity with lending, deposits, payments, underwriting, and financial technology is preferred.
  • Base compensation of $92,000 to $135,000 USD.
  • Performance-based bonus and equity may be offered.
  • A generous benefits program is included.
