Description

  • Own projects from ideation through deployment, taking initiative to move work forward with minimal ambiguity.
  • Design and build new systems that enable new products and unlock additional revenue.
  • Improve and refine existing clearing systems to deliver meaningful, tangible outcomes.
  • Work on post-trade and clearing infrastructure that is essential to broker-dealer operations.
  • Support integrations that expand self-clearing capabilities and new product offerings.
  • Contribute to securities finance-related functions, including infrastructure for offerings such as fully paid securities lending.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation to help keep production systems reliable and healthy.
  • Collaborate with teams across the company and influence what is built and how it is built.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience building reliable and distributed systems.
  • Productive with Go, PostgreSQL, and Kubernetes.
  • Ability to design good RESTful APIs and recognize poor API design.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of how computers, the internet, databases, and distributed systems work.
  • Experience working at startups and comfort with shifting priorities and imperfect systems.
  • Ability to take the lead on projects and carry work through with limited guidance.
  • Willingness to take responsibility individually and as part of the team.
  • Ability to push back constructively and accept final decisions when they differ from your view.
  • Experience in securities clearing and settlement or securities finance (nice to have).
  • Experience with gRPC, Protobuf, Temporal, Grafana, Kafka/Redpanda, Helm, and Docker (nice to have).
