Description

  • Develop a strong understanding of the assigned territory, retailers, and competitors to support sales growth and returns to good causes.
  • Manage territory plans and prepare for store visits across the assigned area.
  • Support the Annual Business Plan by delivering key messages and marketing updates to the retail network.
  • Deliver retail key performance indicators against agreed measures and support Retail Sales Team objectives.
  • Proactively improve in-store standards and communicate key messages to retailers.
  • Build and maintain strong retailer relationships to drive in-store execution and advocacy for The National Lottery.
  • Agree and secure retailer commitment to player protection compliance through the Retail Training Centre.
  • Deliver effective training to people at all levels and support retailer training needs.
  • Use data and retail insight to provide customer insight and identify new ways of working.
  • Own personal development through the Personal Development Plan and Learning and Development programme.

Requirements

  • Previous sales experience or customer service experience; field-based experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong sales and commercial acumen.
  • Confidence and strong communication skills when speaking with retailers.
  • Experience in face-to-face consultative selling.
  • Ability to use IT packages and adapt across different systems.
  • Ability to analyse data and provide insight to customers.
  • Ability to deliver effective training to people at all levels.
  • Full UK driving licence with flexibility to travel across the assigned territory and wider regions as required.
  • A proactive, ideas-led approach to work.
  • Experience working in a field sales or retail environment is preferred.
