Description

  • Supervise remote team members and collaborate with leadership on accounting priorities.
  • Prepare timely and accurate financial statements and management reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and statutory filings.
  • Support month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and annual audit preparation.
  • Maintain and improve internal financial controls and procedures.
  • Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with Dutch tax laws and work with tax advisors on tax strategy.
  • Lead the migration from Exact Online to a new ERP system and ensure data integrity across platforms.
  • Partner with IT to implement automation-first workflows and API integrations for bank feeds, expenses, and AP/AR.
  • Provide financial insights, scenario analysis, and recommendations to support strategic and operational decisions.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to VPs and managers during the company’s scale-up phase.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field; CPA or equivalent qualification is strongly preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience as an Accounting Manager or in a similar role.
  • Experience in an in-house/business environment; scale-up, SaaS, or high-growth tech experience is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and general statutory compliance requirements.
  • Hands-on experience preparing and filing tax returns independently.
  • Experience with Dutch accounting standards and tax regulations is a strong plus.
  • Excellent command of English, as it is the main working language.
  • High proficiency with financial systems and ERP software; Exact experience is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills, proactive problem-solving ability, and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid model and in a multicultural, English-speaking environment.
