Description

  • Supervise remote team members and coordinate occasional business travel as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare timely financial statements and management reports for leadership, auditors, and external stakeholders.
  • Support statutory filings and maintain communication with regulatory authorities and external auditors.
  • Manage month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
  • Implement, maintain, and improve internal financial controls and procedures.
  • Prepare for and support annual audits.
  • Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with Dutch tax laws.
  • Partner with tax advisors to improve tax strategy and reduce liabilities.
  • Lead the migration from Exact Online to a new ERP system and help improve financial systems and workflows.
  • Work with IT to implement automation-first processes and API integrations for bank feeds, expenses, and AP/AR.
  • Provide financial analysis, scenario modeling, and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field; CPA or equivalent qualification strongly preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience as an Accounting Manager or in a similar role.
  • Experience in an in-house business environment; scale-up, SaaS, or high-growth tech experience is a plus.
  • Strong recent knowledge of IFRS and general statutory compliance requirements.
  • Hands-on experience independently preparing and filing tax returns.
  • Experience with Dutch accounting standards and tax regulations is a strong plus.
  • Excellent command of English, which is the main working language.
  • High proficiency with financial systems and ERP software; Exact experience is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills, proactive problem-solving ability, and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Comfort working in a hybrid model and in a multicultural, English-speaking environment.
