Description

  • Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of comprehensive security strategies and solutions across the organization.
  • Design and deploy advanced security controls to safeguard networks, systems, applications, and cloud-native infrastructure.
  • Define and implement robust security controls for AI/ML systems, covering model training, inference, and data pipelines.
  • Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments for AI systems and algorithms, and proactively identify and mitigate threats such as model inversion, data poisoning, adversarial attacks, and prompt injection.
  • Develop and implement monitoring methods to detect anomalous behavior and potential misuse of AI systems.
  • Secure APIs and endpoints used for model access and inference.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with data scientists, ML engineers, DevOps, and other engineering teams to embed security throughout the AI/ML and software development lifecycles.
  • Build or influence secure CI/CD pipelines and deployment practices to ensure consistent security posture across releases.
  • Mentor and galvanize engineers, set and uphold security processes and standards to support high-quality engineering and operational practices.

Requirements

  • BS/BTech (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field — or 10 years of security domain experience without a degree.
  • 8+ years of experience in software or security engineering within cloud-native environments.
  • Experience architecting, developing, and deploying large-scale distributed systems at production scale.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Experience building and securing continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Familiarity with server-side web technologies (examples: Java, Python, Scala, C#, C++, Go).
  • 4+ years acting as a trusted technical decision-maker in a team setting, balancing short-term and long-term business value.
  • Experience or strong interest in AppSec and AI/ML security, including threat types like model inversion, data poisoning, adversarial attacks, and prompt injection.
  • Experience securing APIs, endpoints, and data pipelines; ability to collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, and DevOps to embed security across the ML lifecycle.
  • Experience with health-tech systems (e.g., Electronic Health Records, clinical data) is preferred.
