Description

Lead and grow a high-performing engineering team, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and succession planning.
Set technical direction and drive roadmap decisions in partnership with Staff-level engineers and other engineering leaders.
Own end-to-end delivery of patient outreach initiatives from scoping and implementation through rollout and optimization.
Drive execution and prioritization across new feature work, technical debt reduction, and reliability improvements.
Establish and track KPIs and SLOs for system health, reliability, latency, and throughput.
Design, build, and operate cloud-native distributed systems that support outreach flows at scale.
Oversee secure, scalable, and maintainable platform architecture for messaging, voice, and related channels.
Partner closely with Product, Data, Operations, infrastructure, security, and compliance stakeholders to align goals and requirements.
Champion engineering best practices in code quality, observability, incident response, and post-incident learning.
Communicate plans, risks, and progress clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

BS/BTech or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
10+ years of production-level experience as an engineer and technical lead building highly scalable and reliable software.
5+ years of managerial experience leading technical engineering teams.
Experience attracting, hiring, coaching, and managing engineers, including performance management.
Experience taking ownership of technology decisions while delegating and empowering team members.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence multiple stakeholders.
Proven track record delivering complex, cross-team initiatives end to end in a fast-paced environment.
Experience managing teams that build cloud-native distributed systems in production.
Knowledge of distributed systems, microservices, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Strong background in server-side development such as Python, Java, or C#; Python preferred.
Familiarity with Kafka and workflow/data orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow or AWS Glue.
Experience working with systems that integrate with ML/AI models for real-time inference or LLM applications strongly preferred.
Familiarity with React, Vue.js, or Node.js preferred but not required.
