Description

  • Architect complex systems and make critical technical decisions for the data platform and infrastructure stack.
  • Solve challenging technical problems in data orchestration, low-latency processing, and developer velocity.
  • Partner with product and engineering leadership to translate technical strategy into business impact.
  • Guide multiple engineering teams and influence architecture across dozens of teams.
  • Mentor engineers and promote engineering excellence across the organization.
  • Contribute to technical roadmaps and strategic planning for a unified data platform.
  • Evaluate new technologies and lead innovation initiatives.
  • Build systems from conception through global scale, with both hands-on coding and high-level architectural leadership.
  • Align technical strategy with business goals through cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

  • BS/BTech or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of production-level experience building highly scalable systems.
  • 6+ years of experience as a trusted technical decision-maker balancing short-term and long-term business value.
  • 4+ years of experience with SQL or other database querying languages on large multi-table datasets.
  • Experience architecting, developing, and deploying large-scale distributed systems.
  • Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong familiarity with server-side web technologies such as Java, Python, Scala, C#, C++, or Go.
  • 10+ years of experience building highly scalable and reliable infrastructure is preferred.
  • Experience architecting or implementing AI-driven features and translating AI capabilities into scalable products is preferred.
  • Proven track record leading end-to-end architecture and delivery for large teams of 50+ engineers is preferred.
  • Experience working with data ingestion systems and optimizing large-scale data processing and analysis is preferred.
  • Deep hands-on expertise with cloud infrastructure, event streaming such as Kafka, data processing tools such as Databricks and Kafka, and large-scale database systems is preferred.
  • Familiarity with database replication, sharding, and other scalability and high-availability techniques is preferred.
  • Experience engineering systems for scalability, high availability, and security, especially for sensitive or regulated data, is preferred.
  • Experience building observability platforms, performance monitoring, and optimization frameworks is preferred.
  • Expertise in containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, and modern CI/CD pipelines is preferred.
  • Experience with health-tech systems such as electronic health records or clinical data is desired.
