Description

  • Conduct high-volume outbound and inbound calls with patients, providers, and pharmacies using established scripts and protocols.
  • Work toward and sustain performance goals for call volume, call quality, and related metrics.
  • Help patients identify and overcome barriers to medication adherence, such as cost, forgetfulness, or lack of perceived need.
  • Escalate clinical barriers to a pharmacist when needed.
  • Use influence, empathy, and education to address objections and secure patient commitment to medication adherence.
  • Coordinate with medical providers and pharmacies to ensure prescription refills occur on schedule.
  • Accurately document interactions, outcomes, and barriers in the appropriate systems.
  • Identify opportunities to improve pharmacy workflows and processes.
  • Participate in training and peer learning to build expertise in pharmacy quality metrics such as STARs.
  • Provide feedback, share best practices, and support team and organizational goals.

Requirements

  • High school diploma.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a call center environment providing patient outreach.
  • Ability to work any shift between 8 AM and 7 PM EST, with potential evening and Saturday coverage based on business needs.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • Excellent verbal communication, active listening, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to overcome objections and build rapport with patients or customers.
  • Proficiency with call center platforms and electronic health record (EHR) platforms.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to change.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Access to a reliable high-speed internet connection.
  • Associate’s degree preferred.
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT or ExCPT) or active pharmacy technician license in any state preferred.
