Description

  • Assess how practices are using their EHR systems and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Help practices fully leverage existing EHR and third-party systems to support ACO and value-based care initiatives.
  • Support practices with MIPS compliance and quality reporting needs.
  • Lead implementation of point-of-care EHR integration technologies such as overlays.
  • Manage multiple projects in parallel and coordinate progress across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Train practice staff on patient-centric workflows and deliver concise training on complex topics.
  • Present to practice leadership, executives, and frontline staff to drive adoption of best practices.
  • Develop, adapt, and support educational materials, user groups, and training opportunities for EHR users.
  • Serve as an in-house expert on one or more top-tier ambulatory EHR systems.
  • Mentor team members, provide thought partnership, and contribute to hiring and team development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, though significant relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of formal education.
  • 6+ years of client-facing project lead experience in healthcare, such as ambulatory practices, EHR vendors, health plans, hospitals, government, or management consulting.
  • 3+ years of implementation or optimization experience with top-tier ambulatory EHRs and practice management software.
  • Preferred experience with Epic Ambulatory, NextGen, Athena, Greenway, or eClinicalWorks.
  • Depth of knowledge in at least one top-tier ambulatory EHR solution.
  • Strong understanding of practice workflow.
  • Ability to travel periodically.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience developing and maintaining cross-team stakeholder relationships and leading projects is preferred.
  • Deep Epic Ambulatory experience, including building and debugging OPAs and FHIR app integrations, is preferred.
