Description

  • Serve as the first line of response for infrastructure incidents during a shift-based on-call rotation using Opsgenie and Slack.
  • Handle service desk requests and document actions in incident threads.
  • Write clear shift handoff notes for ongoing operational continuity.
  • Review Terraform pull requests and support infrastructure changes.
  • Debug CI/CD pipelines and run AWS diagnostics.
  • Troubleshoot ECS and Kubernetes environments.
  • Respond to live incidents during evenings, weekends, and on-call periods.
  • Take on progressively more complex infrastructure tasks as technical skills develop.

Requirements

  • Recent DevOps learning activity such as courses, certifications, a home lab, or AI-assisted self-study.
  • Comfortable working in the Linux terminal, including navigation, diagnostic commands, logs, and file permissions.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including IP addressing, DNS, TCP/UDP, and the OSI model.
  • Foundational knowledge of Docker, including containerization vs. virtualization and basic commands.
  • Fluent in Ukrainian or Russian.
  • Intermediate English level.
  • Comfortable with shift work and on-call duty, including a 1.5-minute response time for critical alerts.
  • Prepared to respond to incidents within 5 minutes maximum during on-call periods and remain near a computer.
  • Early-career candidates are encouraged, with this role serving as an entry point into DevOps engineering.
