Description

  • Own overall artistic and technical quality across the Character Art discipline.
  • Mentor, advise, and support creative leadership teams in India and other global locations.
  • Partner directly with clients to clarify expectations, translate feedback, and resolve quality or confidence issues.
  • Coach and develop Associate Art Directors, Art Leads, and senior artists.
  • Monitor quality, efficiency, approval rates, rework, working patterns, employee engagement, and other KPIs.
  • Identify performance trends and drive improvements with Production and creative leadership.
  • Contribute to staffing, capacity planning, project scoping, capability development, problem solving, and selected new-business opportunities.
  • Lead an organization of up to 300 artists through Associate Art Directors, Art Leads, and production leadership.

Requirements

  • Extensive professional experience in Character Art for videogames, including significant senior leadership experience.
  • Expert knowledge of modern Character Art pipelines and production practices.
  • Exceptional artistic judgment.
  • Experience leading and influencing large, distributed organizations through other leaders.
  • Strong client-facing communication, mentoring, coaching, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to identify complex problems, determine root causes, and facilitate practical solutions.
  • Understanding of the relationship between creative quality, operational performance, client satisfaction, and team health.
  • Availability for flexible working hours to collaborate with teams in India and other global locations.
  • Ability to travel to India periodically, typically 1–2 times per year.
