Description

  • Own features and problems end to end, from user need through design, delivery, and support.
  • Design and build full-stack solutions for internal and public web applications.
  • Make pragmatic architectural decisions and stay accountable for quality through production.
  • Use AI tools and coding agents to prototype, explore, and accelerate development work.
  • Engage across analysis, implementation, integration, testing, debugging, and support.
  • Lead code reviews and mentor other engineers.
  • Work directly with end users and stakeholders to understand business problems.
  • Set estimates and milestones while balancing technical risk, cost, and deadlines.
  • Help shape the future roadmap of the engineering team and AHEAD.
  • Help improve team tooling, prompts, and workflows.

Requirements

  • 5+ years building and shipping software, with 7+ years preferred.
  • Strong engineering judgment and the ability to evaluate code quality, including AI-generated code.
  • A product mindset focused on user needs and business outcomes.
  • Fluency with modern AI development tools and coding agents.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new languages and frameworks; Elixir and Phoenix experience is welcome but not required.
  • Strong foundation in software design and architecture.
  • Experience with testing, continuous integration, code review, and containerization.
  • Clear, direct communication skills.
  • Senior-level instincts to lead projects, mentor others, and raise team standards.
  • A portfolio with repositories, projects led, or pull requests is requested; examples using AI tools are welcome.
