Description

  • Own and deliver quarterly goals for the team while guiding engineers through ambiguity.
  • Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics on ideation, technical constraints, risks, and trade-offs.
  • Identify project, process, technology, and business issues and lead efforts to solve them.
  • Support operations and availability through metrics, escalation, keep-the-lights-on work, and on-call coverage.
  • Set and improve code review and design standards, and promote quality and ownership through writing and tech talks.
  • Provide feedback and guidance to develop talent on the team.
  • Work across transaction processing, ledgering, and reconciliation systems in both real-time and post-transaction workflows.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as a software engineer.
  • Experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale.
  • Experience with Python, Kotlin, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience shipping frontend applications.
  • Experience defining technical plans for significant features or system components with simple, extensible designs.
  • Experience making significant changes in a large codebase safely.
  • Ability to write high-quality code that others can understand and use.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with a global engineering team.
  • On-call rotation is required.
  • Must be based in Spain; visa sponsorship is available.
