Description

  • Lead, mentor, and grow an engineering team responsible for repayment processes in the international expansion journey.
  • Coach engineers to improve system design, code quality, and testing practices.
  • Own the availability, reliability, and performance of the team’s systems.
  • Partner with product managers to design and build systems and processes for collections.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams across the full loan repayment lifecycle at Affirm.
  • Build relationships and engage with senior management across the organization.
  • Help shape and launch products for new international regions.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience as a software engineer with leadership responsibilities.
  • 1+ years of experience as an engineering manager.
  • Experience growing and managing a high-performing engineering team.
  • Fluency in back-end development.
  • Experience architecting, building, launching, and maintaining consumer-scale products.
  • Strong cross-team communication and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of the loans lifecycle and delinquency assessment is a plus.
  • Motivation to improve consumer financial services.
  • Experience working on internationally oriented or expansion-stage products is preferred.
