Description

  • Serve as the teacher of record and primary instructor for core content areas and grade levels.
  • Deliver live online lessons through web conferencing based on student needs.
  • Set up courses in the learning management system.
  • Monitor progress in asynchronous courses and provide daily feedback and grading.
  • Track and maintain regular contact with each student.
  • Collaborate with the principal to create and deliver student progress reports.
  • Review student data frequently and adjust instruction accordingly.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students.
  • Use research-based practices in both synchronous and asynchronous instruction.
  • Build a joyful, caring classroom environment and reinforce school-wide culture expectations.
  • Communicate regularly with families about academic and social-emotional growth.
  • Participate in planning and attending non-instructional events, including in-person activities and state testing.
  • Collaborate respectfully with colleagues and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Current state teaching license in the appropriate content area.
  • Knowledge of state standards and Common Core standards.
  • Preferred: 2 years of teaching experience.
  • Comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment with frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Outlook.
  • Ability to manage confidential information appropriately.
  • Ability to stand for up to 90 minutes at a time.
  • Ability to supervise students in all school settings.
  • Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks.
  • Experience working in a multicultural setting preferred.
  • Open to Oklahoma residents.
  • Willingness to travel and attend in person several times per year for state testing and student events.
