Description

  • Design and implement accessible, visually appealing, user-friendly interfaces for OAA applications and platforms.
  • Create user-centered designs using Bootstrap, jQuery, and centralized CSS files.
  • Collaborate with front-end and back-end developers to integrate designs within the .NET Core C# and Microsoft Power Platform environment.
  • Create additional website graphics using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, or other graphic design tools.
  • Ensure all designs meet Section 508, ADA, and WCAG 2.0 Level A and AA accessibility requirements.
  • Maintain visual consistency and design standards across the OAA application portfolio.
  • Support wireframing, site diagrams, and site maps in coordination with the Business Analyst.
  • Remediate accessibility findings in existing UI and graphic assets.
  • Manage assigned work within an annual level of effort not to exceed 250 hours.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field; no equivalencies or substitutions accepted.
  • 4+ years of experience as a graphic designer focused on user-centered design and accessibility.
  • Proficiency in Bootstrap, jQuery, and centralized CSS files.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
  • Demonstrated experience designing to Section 508 / WCAG 2.0 AA standards.
  • Ability to work effectively on a part-time, task-based level of effort.
  • Must have resided continuously in the United States for the past 36 months.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Section 508 compliance certifications or formal accessibility training (preferred).
  • Experience designing within Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps) and SharePoint (preferred).
  • Experience supporting federal agencies or large enterprise environments (preferred).
  • Familiarity with the U.S. Web Design System (USWDS) (preferred).
  • Experience with responsive design for legacy .NET applications (preferred).
