Description

  • Design, implement, and optimize GCP network architectures for Shared Services Canada.
  • Lead cloud migration and transformation initiatives to Google Cloud.
  • Develop technical architectures, frameworks, and strategies for major application areas.
  • Identify policies and requirements that drive cloud and infrastructure solutions.
  • Analyze and evaluate alternative technology solutions to meet business needs.
  • Ensure integration across cloud and infrastructure components, including network, storage, software, and host systems.
  • Monitor industry trends and provide guidance on emerging technologies.
  • Support application and technical teams in the proper use of infrastructure.
  • Review application, program, and technical infrastructure designs for standards adherence and performance improvements.
  • Coach and mentor DevOps cloud teams, architects, and project stakeholders.

Requirements

  • University degree in a related business or technology discipline, or a two-year college diploma in a related discipline, or a university degree in any field with 5+ years of IT experience, or 10+ years of IT work experience in the last 15 years.
  • Degrees obtained outside Canada must have a recognized Canadian credential assessment according to CICIC guidelines.
  • 10+ years of IT experience.
  • 10+ years of IT experience are required for Level 3 experience requirements.
  • Experience leading migrations to Google Cloud within the last 7 years.
  • Experience coaching and leading DevOps cloud teams with PM/Scrum support within the last 8 years.
  • Experience designing, configuring, and deploying cloud platforms based on roadmaps and blueprints within the last 5 years.
  • Experience identifying, researching, and resolving complex cloud implementation problems within the last 5 years.
  • Strong GCP experience with networking expertise, cloud development and architecture skills, and Kubernetes experience.
  • Preferred certifications include Google Cloud Professional Network Engineer, CNCF Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, and Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer.
