Description

  • Review and maintain code across multiple GitHub repositories.
  • Analyze each repository and create a plan to improve documentation, test coverage, and maintainability.
  • Increase AWS infrastructure test coverage from roughly 10% to 90% across repositories.
  • Lead the design and enhancement of automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Architect and manage cloud environments with a focus on performance, security, and scalability.
  • Use Terraform and CDK scripting for infrastructure configuration management.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex system performance and reliability issues.
  • Mentor junior team members and lead by example in a collaborative environment.
  • Provide support for issues on an on-call basis outside business hours.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Extensive experience in DevOps with proficient Python coding skills.
  • Extensive experience delivering systems to production with a focus on Infrastructure-as-Code.
  • Experience writing and publishing reusable, tested modules or libraries for other teams.
  • At least 4 years of experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps Services or GitHub Actions.
  • Experience integrating security at design time and evaluating security measures.
  • Experience with code reviews, pull requests, and source control standards such as Git Flow or Trunk-Based Development.
  • Experience designing and delivering two or more infrastructure systems with automation and central configuration management.
  • Experience with multiple database technologies and the ability to write complex SQL queries is desired.
  • Deep expertise in AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
  • Advanced knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus and ELK, plus Git, networking, security, and database management.
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience communicating technical concepts to technically adept audiences.
  • Experience with test-driven development, unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing.
  • Ability to work independently under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and provide clear verbal and written communication.
  • Availability for on-call support and geographic flexibility to work mainly 9 AM to 5 PM Eastern time.
  • Advanced certifications in DevOps, AWS, or Kubernetes are desired.
  • Ability to prioritize work by business impact, track status accurately, and estimate testing and deployment effort.
