Description

  • Serve as the main point of contact for technical topics within the squad and redirect questions to the appropriate teammate when needed.
  • Coach software engineers on the squad through performance reviews, career path assessments, and ongoing support.
  • Keep coding for up to 80% of your time while balancing leadership responsibilities.
  • Participate in monthly meetings with the CPTO and Engineering Director to review successes and address technical or organizational challenges.
  • Support the product squad in delivering innovation goals while maintaining and improving features and the codebase.
  • Identify developers’ strengths and areas for improvement, and proactively help them grow.
  • Lead and calibrate performance reviews and career path assessments.
  • Work with the CPTO and Engineering Director to maintain squad engagement.
  • Share best practices across the team and contribute process improvements within the squad and across squads.
  • Partner with the product manager to define product vision and technical direction for the platform area owned by the squad.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience serving formally or informally as a tech lead, mentor, or coach for a software engineering team on a SaaS platform.
  • Experience leading technical initiatives in environments where performance, reliability, and accuracy are critical.
  • Significant full-stack programming experience.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with SaaS software architecture.
  • Experience with modern programming languages.
  • Product-oriented mindset with strong focus on customer experience.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Fluent English (US/UK) or B2 level in French (or equivalent).
  • Enthusiasm for 360Learning’s working environment.
  • Preferred: experience joining cross-team initiatives such as hackathons and process improvement efforts.
