Description

  • Oversee engineering activities for land preparation and verify site suitability and regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate contractors installing and integrating solar energy, water, and fiber utilities.
  • Manage multiple projects, including plans, schedules, budgets, and progress tracking.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, municipalities, utilities, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure engineering work meets applicable local, state, and federal regulations and quality and safety standards.
  • Provide technical guidance to engineering and cross-functional teams on renewable energy practices and technologies.
  • Negotiate and secure long-term water sourcing and supply agreements with municipalities, utilities, and private providers.
  • Assess water rights, capacity, infrastructure requirements, and sustainability considerations for data center operations.
  • Conduct due diligence on land acquisitions and development sites, including zoning, environmental, geotechnical, utility, and permitting evaluations.
  • Travel up to 50% and perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering field.
  • 5+ years of engineering experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership position.
  • Experience with land development and utility coordination for large-scale projects.
  • Strong knowledge of renewable energy systems, particularly solar energy.
  • Experience with data center infrastructure and utility requirements.
  • Demonstrated project management experience delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • Master’s or PhD in Engineering preferred.

Benefits

  • Salary of $160,000–$180,000.
  • Travel-based role with up to 50% travel.
