Description

  • Own the company’s P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and treasury management.
  • Establish and manage the monthly and quarterly financial close process.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and FP&A in coordination with executive leadership.
  • Manage relationships with external accounting firms, tax advisors, and auditors.
  • Own lender compliance and reporting for existing and future facilities.
  • Prepare board-ready financial packages for the Founder/CEO and PE sponsor.
  • Hire and manage a Controller and build out the finance team.
  • Execute capital markets transactions to monetize the mass tort receivable pipeline, including factoring, credit facilities, and structured financing.
  • Lead the transition from cash to accrual accounting under ASC 606, including revenue recognition policy development, historical restatement, and full audit coordination.
  • Build lender-grade portfolio reporting, data infrastructure, borrowing base methodology, and underwriting framework in coordination with operations and technology.
  • Engage and manage institutional lenders, specialty finance counterparties, and structured finance counsel.
  • Present proposed transactions to the Investment Committee and own the financial narrative for investors.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including CFO or VP of Finance roles.
  • Experience as a finance leader at a PE-backed company with understanding of board reporting, investor reporting, and sponsor expectations.
  • Deep operational finance capabilities, including monthly close, FP&A, budgeting, cash management, and audit coordination.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or managing accrual accounting conversions from cash basis, including ASC 606 revenue recognition policy development, historical financial restatement, and coordination with outside audit firms.
  • Exposure to structured finance, receivable monetization, asset-backed lending, or capital markets transactions.
  • Ability to build and lead a finance team, including hiring a Controller and potentially a capital markets analyst.
  • Strong communication skills for board presentations, lender negotiations, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Direct deal origination experience is a plus but not required.
  • Legal industry or specialty finance experience is a plus but not required.
