Description

  • Design, build, and maintain end-to-end features across the Windows client, service/business logic, and database layers.
  • Own features from requirements through implementation, test readiness, release, and production support.
  • Collaborate with QA and product partners to refine acceptance criteria, validate behavior, and support release readiness in an Agile process.
  • Review and validate AI-generated code against acceptance criteria as part of AI-augmented development workflows.
  • Follow Git best practices, including feature branches, pull requests, commit hygiene, and documentation updates when behavior or architecture changes.
  • Design, build, and maintain Windows desktop workflows using C++ and MFC.
  • Debug and fix defects across UI, threading, memory/resource management, and performance hotspots.
  • Modernize and refactor legacy code to improve maintainability, testability, and stability while preserving user workflows.
  • Develop and maintain C# service layers and business logic that support desktop workflows and integrations.
  • Design and evolve MS SQL schemas, queries, stored procedures, and migration scripts with attention to performance and data integrity.

Requirements

  • Strong experience developing Windows desktop applications using C++ and MFC.
  • Strong experience developing with C# in services, libraries, or application layers.
  • Solid relational database skills with MS SQL, including schema design and query/performance awareness.
  • Proven ability to debug complex issues across UI, business logic, and database layers and drive fixes to completion.
  • Familiarity with Git-based workflows, including pull requests, code reviews, and engineering documentation.
  • Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants in daily development with a human → AI → human review loop.
  • Ability to maintain supporting documentation such as READMEs, architecture notes, and engineering guidelines.
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA and compliance requirements, including keeping PHI out of code, logs, tests, commits, and error messages.
  • Comfort working with synthetic or mock data and applying secure coding practices such as least privilege and safe error handling.
  • Must be located in LATAM and have high English proficiency (C1+).
  • Healthcare or dental domain experience is preferred.
  • Experience maintaining and modernizing mature or legacy Windows desktop codebases is preferred.
  • Experience with performance profiling and memory diagnostics in native Windows applications is preferred.
  • Experience contributing to products that integrate desktop and cloud or hosted services is preferred.
