Description

  • Partner with stakeholders to identify, gather requirements for, and prioritize automation opportunities based on impact.
  • Design end-to-end automation workflows from initial trigger to final outcome.
  • Select and implement the right tools and patterns, including serverless jobs, schedulers, cloud-native services, scripts, and AI-assisted workflows.
  • Build and maintain automations across AWS, Azure, and Snowflake, integrating APIs, data pipelines, and internal services.
  • Write production-ready automation code in Python, SQL, C#, and TypeScript/JavaScript.
  • Handle scheduling, retries, logging, alerting, and failure modes for automation jobs.
  • Use AI integrations where they add clear value for classification, enrichment, validation, or decision support.
  • Track usage, validate impact, tune performance, and iterate or retire automations based on results.
  • Proactively identify manual steps, brittle processes, and expensive workflows that can be improved with automation.
  • Document patterns, share reusable components, and help teams adopt more systematic approaches to automation.

Requirements

  • Experience building automations across AWS and/or Azure and modern data platforms such as Snowflake.
  • Strong hands-on development experience with Python and SQL.
  • Experience with another programming language such as JavaScript or C#.
  • Experience scheduling and orchestrating jobs using serverless functions, Airflow-like tools, cron-based systems, or event-driven workflows.
  • Proven examples of automations that reduced cost, saved time, improved reliability, or unlocked new capabilities.
  • Experience integrating APIs, internal services, and third-party tools.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted automation, including LLMs, classification, extraction, and decision support.
  • Pragmatic judgment about when not to use AI.
  • Comfort working end-to-end from requirements through design, build, deploy, and measure.
  • Ability to think pragmatically, prototype quickly, and translate between stakeholders and engineers.
