Description

  • Align the program’s strategic vision and business outcomes with delivered results.
  • Lead group workshops to identify strategic drivers and develop use cases, requirements, and policies.
  • Document future-state business processes and help develop policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate stakeholder alignment around future-state vision and value definitions.
  • Provide expertise on Shopify Plus, Shopify B2B, and optionally BigCommerce capabilities and architectures.
  • Ensure the quality and relevance of user requirements, functional specifications, technical specifications, data models, and process flow diagrams.
  • Collaborate with the project manager to keep business objectives aligned with the project plan.
  • Act as a bridge between client, technical, and creative teams and support internal, technical, and client design reviews.
  • Advise client stakeholders on Shopify-native commerce architecture topics such as catalog modeling, inventory sync, subscriptions, bundles, multi-market setups, B2B roles, and app integrations.
  • Use Shopify Analytics, GA4, and third-party data tools to identify growth opportunities and evaluate commerce performance.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a client-facing Business Analyst or Business Consultant role, preferably in a professional services or IT consulting environment.
  • Experience with Shopify Plus, Shopify B2B, or similar commerce platforms.
  • BigCommerce knowledge or certification is considered a strong plus.
  • Experience with full life-cycle projects from initial scoping through delivery.
  • Proficiency in defining and documenting test strategy, unit testing, and integration testing.
  • Highly developed problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage senior-level client relationships.
  • Comfort working in agile, iterative software development methodologies.
  • Interest in digital commerce technology and eagerness to learn new technologies, best practices, and third-party tools.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively on cross-functional, geographically dispersed teams.
