Description

  • Oversee configuration, administration, and optimization of the Microsoft 365 E5 environment, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, Defender, Azure AD / Entra ID, and Power Platform.
  • Manage mobile device administration through Intune, including endpoint policies, configuration, package deployment, and provisioning.
  • Maintain Exchange Online and email security controls such as SPF, DMARC, DKIM, and spam, malware, and phishing protection.
  • Implement single sign-on for enterprise applications using Microsoft Azure AD / Entra ID.
  • Administer Windows Server, Linux, appliance-based virtual machines, Hyper-V virtualization, and Azure-based virtualization environments.
  • Deploy and maintain infrastructure monitoring tools to ensure systems operate optimally.
  • Design and maintain internal networks for datacenters and branch offices, including Cisco / Meraki firewalls, routers, switches, and circuit management.
  • Troubleshoot network issues, analyze root causes of failures, and improve design resiliency.
  • Manage internal telephony services via Cisco and Teams.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery, high availability, and business continuity plans, including backup, archiving, testing, and drills.
  • Support IT security and compliance activities, including vulnerability management patching, multi-factor authentication, and regulatory alignment.
  • Design and maintain IT integrations and process automation, including HR system integrations, user onboarding/offboarding scripts, and endpoint automation for Windows and Mac.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex help desk issues and assist with branch office support, printing, and physical security.
  • Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders and produce documentation and knowledge base articles for systems and processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, programming, information security, or a related field, or equivalent work experience/certifications.
  • 3-5 years of systems administration experience with a strong focus on the Microsoft 365 E5 suite.
  • Team mentoring or leadership experience.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Expert-level knowledge of core IT technologies such as DNS, DHCP, certificates, SMTP, SNMP, SSL, SSH, DMARC, DKIM, SPF, web and application hosting, virtualization, and physical security.
  • In-depth knowledge of Cisco networking, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Experience with integration development and maintenance, including scripting and programming.
  • Proficiency with Hyper-V virtualization and Azure cloud services.
  • Expertise in disaster recovery, high availability, and business continuity planning.
  • Mac management experience.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency with a broad array of platforms and tools, or ability to quickly gain proficiency.
  • Occasional travel and after-hours work are required.
