Description

  • Conduct thorough inspections of machined parts and other finished goods to verify conformance to customer specifications and quality standards.
  • Apply the AQL sampling plan in accordance with ANSI/ASQ Z1.4.
  • Document inspection results, testing data, and non-conformances in line with ISO standards and Xometry’s quality management system.
  • Maintain organized and controlled electronic quality records.
  • Contribute to the development, revision, and maintenance of inspection procedures and work instructions.
  • Coordinate calibration of measurement and test equipment.
  • Assist with customer complaint investigations and quality system audits, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Work closely with manufacturing, engineering, and customer support teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Perform duties in compliance with Xometry’s quality and safety systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities in inspection processes and quality operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on inspection experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Ability to use standard measuring equipment, including micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.
  • Experience with PC-DMIS and CMM operation is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards is a plus.
  • Proficiency with CAD software, especially SolidWorks, and the ability to generate drawings is a significant advantage.
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to quality.
  • Strong math and clerical skills.
  • Team-oriented with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn.
