Description

  • Maintain and improve Xapo's cloud-native platform.
  • Expand self-service capabilities so engineering teams can manage resources and workflows independently.
  • Automate manual processes to reduce toil and improve developer efficiency.
  • Ensure the platform remains observable, scalable, and secure as it evolves.
  • Monitor and proactively manage infrastructure to meet operational requirements.
  • Support continuous 24/7 service availability and operational integrity through a compensated on-call rotation.
  • Use established procedures to resolve common platform issues and identify opportunities for further automation.
  • Communicate progress clearly and collaborate with developers who use the platform.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in platform engineering or a closely related role.
  • Foundational understanding of infrastructure as code, especially Terraform.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, primarily AWS and some GCP.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.
  • Possible experience with CI/CD and automation tools such as GitHub Actions.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Coralogix or similar.
  • Scripting experience with Python and Bash.
  • Ability and eagerness to solve platform issues and identify opportunities for automation.
  • Strong collaborative communication skills and ability to understand developer needs.
  • A dedicated workspace, reliable internet connection, and essential equipment that meets minimal technical specifications.
