Description

Use proprietary software to label, annotate, record, and provide inputs on multilingual audio clips, voice recordings, speech samples, and other auditory content.
Curate high-quality audio data that supports clear, natural spoken output and accurate linguistic and prosodic representation.
Support audio standards by ensuring recordings and annotations meet professional quality expectations.
Collaborate with technical staff to develop tasks that improve speech modulation, accent variation, noise handling, and multilingual audio processing.
Work with technical staff to improve annotation tools and audio workflows for greater efficiency.
Provide high-quality voice recordings and feedback on audio samples in multiple languages.
Evaluate speech accuracy, cultural vocal expressions, and contextual meaning in spoken audio.
Make independent judgments on ambiguous, noisy, or accented audio material.
Transcribe audio accurately across accents and varying audio quality.

Requirements

Native proficiency in Sinhala with exposure to diverse accents, dialects, or regional variations.
English proficiency at a minimum B2 level with clear, natural vocal delivery and pronunciation suitable for audio recording.
Strong auditory perception to identify nuances in speech, accents, pronunciation, intonation, and audio quality across languages.
Ability to handle multilingual audio content and evaluate speech accuracy and contextual interpretation in spoken form.
Ability to transcribe audio with high accuracy across accents and varying audio quality.
Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, detail-oriented, and organizational skills.
Ability to articulate audio-related feedback clearly and effectively.
Comfort working independently on ambiguous or varied audio material, including noisy or accented speech.
Preferred background in linguistics, speech sciences, cognitive science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred experience with speech/audio datasets, annotation workflows, AI training data, or voice model training.
Preferred professional experience in voice work such as voice acting, voice recording, or podcasting with a measurable audience.
Portfolio of voice samples, annotated transcripts, or other audio-related work is strongly preferred for advanced candidates.
Must be eligible to work remotely from a location that meets legal, time-zone, and role-specific requirements.
No visa sponsorship is available.
For personal-device work, a Chromebook, Mac with macOS 11.0 or later, or Windows 10 or later is required.

Benefits

US-based compensation of $35/hour to $45/hour, depending on relevant experience, skills, education, geographic location, and qualifications.
Remote work from anywhere in the world, subject to legal eligibility and role-specific needs.
Flexible full-time, part-time, or contractor arrangements depending on role fit.
For contractor roles, full flexibility to set hours and determine time needed to complete deliverables.
