Description

  • Use proprietary software to label, annotate, record, and provide inputs on multilingual audio clips, voice recordings, speech samples, and other auditory content.
  • Curate high-quality audio data that supports clear, natural spoken output and accurate linguistic and prosodic representation.
  • Support audio standards by ensuring recordings and annotations meet professional quality expectations.
  • Collaborate with technical staff to develop tasks that improve speech modulation, accent variation, noise handling, and multilingual audio processing.
  • Work with technical staff to improve annotation tools and audio workflows for greater efficiency.
  • Provide high-quality voice recordings and feedback on audio samples in multiple languages.
  • Evaluate speech accuracy, cultural vocal expressions, and contextual meaning in spoken audio.
  • Make independent judgments on ambiguous, noisy, or accented audio material.
  • Transcribe audio accurately across accents and varying audio quality.

Requirements

  • Native proficiency in Sinhala with exposure to diverse accents, dialects, or regional variations.
  • English proficiency at a minimum B2 level with clear, natural vocal delivery and pronunciation suitable for audio recording.
  • Strong auditory perception to identify nuances in speech, accents, pronunciation, intonation, and audio quality across languages.
  • Ability to handle multilingual audio content and evaluate speech accuracy and contextual interpretation in spoken form.
  • Ability to transcribe audio with high accuracy across accents and varying audio quality.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, detail-oriented, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to articulate audio-related feedback clearly and effectively.
  • Comfort working independently on ambiguous or varied audio material, including noisy or accented speech.
  • Preferred background in linguistics, speech sciences, cognitive science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Preferred experience with speech/audio datasets, annotation workflows, AI training data, or voice model training.
  • Preferred professional experience in voice work such as voice acting, voice recording, or podcasting with a measurable audience.
  • Portfolio of voice samples, annotated transcripts, or other audio-related work is strongly preferred for advanced candidates.
  • Must be eligible to work remotely from a location that meets legal, time-zone, and role-specific requirements.
  • No visa sponsorship is available.
  • For personal-device work, a Chromebook, Mac with macOS 11.0 or later, or Windows 10 or later is required.

Benefits

  • US-based compensation of $35/hour to $45/hour, depending on relevant experience, skills, education, geographic location, and qualifications.
  • Remote work from anywhere in the world, subject to legal eligibility and role-specific needs.
