Description

Label, annotate, record, and provide input on multilingual audio clips, voice recordings, speech samples, and other auditory content using proprietary software.
Curate high-quality audio data representing linguistic and prosodic details, including intonation, rhythm, accents, and natural spoken output.
Collaborate with technical staff to improve speech modulation, accent variation, noisy real-world recording handling, and multilingual audio processing.
Help improve annotation tools and workflows for efficient audio data production.
Transcribe audio accurately across varied accents and recording quality.
Evaluate speech accuracy, cultural vocal expressions, pronunciation, and contextual meaning.
Provide clear feedback on audio samples and make consistent judgments on ambiguous or accented speech.

Requirements

Native proficiency in Italian, including exposure to diverse accents, dialects, or regional variations.
English proficiency at minimum B2 level with clear, natural pronunciation suitable for recording.
Strong auditory perception and ability to identify speech, accent, pronunciation, intonation, and audio-quality nuances.
Experience handling multilingual audio, including evaluating speech accuracy and cultural vocal expression.
Strong communication, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and detail-oriented skills.
Advanced transcription and annotation expertise, including disfluencies, accents, intonation, stress, rhythm, and emotion.
Background in linguistics, phonetics, phonology, speech sciences, cognitive science, or equivalent practical experience (preferred).
Experience with speech or audio datasets, annotation workflows, AI training data, or voice-model training (preferred).
Professional voice, recording, podcasting, audio production, or related experience; portfolio of voice samples or annotated transcripts preferred.
Must be eligible to work in the applicable location, with no visa sponsorship available; personal devices must run ChromeOS, macOS 11.0+, or Windows 10+.

Benefits

US compensation of $35–$45 per hour, depending on experience, skills, education, location, and qualifications.
Remote work available worldwide, subject to legal eligibility, time-zone compatibility, and role needs.
Full flexibility to set working hours for contractor positions; projects commonly require approximately 10 hours per week, depending on scope.
Full-time, part-time, and contractor arrangements may be available.
Eligible US-based employees may receive health insurance, a 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave.
