Description

  • Translate organizational strategy into clear priorities, plans, measurable outcomes, and accountability processes.
  • Manage senior leaders and staff toward organizational and departmental goals through coaching, feedback, and performance management.
  • Lead major cross-entity initiatives from planning through implementation, with clear ownership, timelines, deliverables, and accountability.
  • Improve cross-team coordination, organizational systems, and processes across Participating Organizational Services and Compliance.
  • Oversee organizational risk mitigation, crisis-response protocols, process documentation, records retention, and business-continuity planning.
  • Support the Executive Director and Advisory Board by planning and facilitating quarterly meeting activities.
  • Lead internal staff learning, communication, onboarding, and manager meetings.
  • Oversee management and labor relations and advise participating organizations on collective bargaining, organizational change, workforce impacts, and conflict.
  • Develop training, tools, coaching, and shared resources that strengthen management capacity across EpicWorks and participating organizations.
  • Monitor program goals, budgets, performance, and sustainability while representing EpicWorks with partners, unions, funders, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience in nonprofit management, political campaigns, or organizational operations with increasing responsibility.
  • At least 5 years of senior leadership experience, preferably leading multi-functional teams and projects.
  • Experience strengthening organizational project-management capacity through tools, practices, and staff coaching.
  • Strong people-management experience, including developing staff and managers, setting expectations, and driving accountability.
  • Strong judgment and problem-solving ability in ambiguous, fast-paced, and sensitive organizational contexts.
  • Data-analysis skills and the ability to identify trends and support data-informed decisions.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with teams, organizational leaders, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Experience in a collective-bargaining environment and partnering with union leadership.
  • Experience with complex multi-entity nonprofit structures, including 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4), and PAC entities.
  • Commitment to racial, economic, and gender justice and to building equitable, values-aligned organizations.
  • Current authorization to work for any U.S. employer; EpicWorks cannot sponsor or transfer employment visas.
